Weapon re-balance

All weapons have been re-balanced to fit a new system we're trying out. Simplest way to explain these changes is this: Weapons hurt. They do a lot more damage than before.

Black Market overhaul

The black market is being completely changed. Smugglers will be able to keep their flags, but there has been a few changes to what's available. Aside from the smuggler flags, we're introducing a new flag. The Light Arms Dealer. Think of them as a mini-bmd. They can purchase things through the f3 menu. The old-fashioned way of using black market dealers will no longer be a thing. We've got a few more things in store for the black market, but they'll remain a secret. 

CCA Apps have been enabled on the f3 menu

CCA Applications are now re-enabled on the F3 menu. However, once passing the recruit stage, it's expected that every unit is rostered on these forums.

Hey there, this is Madcombat.   I will be taking over as the new Deployment leader of the Civil Protection.     As the new deployment leader there are a series of useful bulletins I’d like to make the players aware of as we stride forward in an attempt to make the Civil Protection a much more organised and developed faction.     So without further due let’s get to it, shall we?
 

Activity Check and Roster Repairs
There is an on-going activity check, this check will last for an entire week and shall end on the 17th of January.  I advise all Civil Protection members to follow the link to the thread below and follow the instructions provided if they wish to maintain their character.    This Activity check is in part also brought on due’ to the lack of updates the roster has been receiving and quite frankly it has been long overdue it was repaired.

Ration-deployment time sheets
During the week, there will be an arriving new thread detailing preferred time for ration distribution.     We have a target to reach a higher playerbase and I personally would like to achieve growing a more EU playerbase for consistency as by doing this Fooz has suggested we may open up a secondary server such as Outlands or Canals.   In short, by following the time sheet you’ll be giving not only the NA playerbase a ration schedule but also a chance for the EU playerbase to begin growing so stay tuned for an thread detailing times.

Up-scale of application difficulty
Quite simply due to the latest batch of recruits, administration and fellow players have been disappointed by the quality of some recruits we’ve accepted into the servers Union.  It’s because of this the applications will be becoming slightly more reasonable and intensive to try and secure the best cut of roleplayers into the Union.

Introducing Recruit week
As a secondary barrier to the quality of recruits we’ve been receiving, we’re going to be introducing a recruit week.  This is a system designed to promote recruits on a weekend opposed during the week.   This will be handled no longer simply by a quiz but by an organised schedule on the weekend for flexibility where recruits will show squad leaders what they have learned as well as prove they can role-play well.    Recruits will be tested on their knowledge over radio-codes and terminology as well as knowledge over contraband with a conclusion test on breaching.     After the grading the Recruits will be gathered into a hall for a ceremony where they’ll be promoted and inducted into a squad suitable to the Union’s needs.
 
Repairing Jury
To balance out the squads, Jury will be receiving a mixture of units from Vice to even out the system, this will of course open up opportunities for promotion to those who prove themselves a solid role-player and dedication to the combine.  Transfers into Jury will begin after the 17th once the Roster is repaired.
 
Additional Information – standard operating procedure
Over the coming days a new hand-book will be arriving with additional and updated information including a breaching guide.   I would advise all existing units to read the improved hand-book once it arrives on the forums.

Squad Week-end
In an effort to bring squad members together more tightly both IC’ly and OOC’ly I wish to organise dates similar to recruit week where Vice and Jury will meet up for routine training and inspection.  This will allow the squad leaders to inspect their units and put their units through trials such as breaching and other tests.   This’ll also serve as a means for regular units to stand out to their superiors.

Unit Taglines Removed

I've gone ahead and removed the -number after units name (example VICE-1 ) 

So now any default units will just be "SQUAD"-GRNU (Ground Unit) 

The other ranks are "SQUAD"-EU (Elite Unit), and "SQUAD"-SNRU "Senior Unit" 

If you're looking to get any special equipment aside from the default pistol as a Ground Unit, talk to your squad's RL (Rank Leader)

Update 0.1.2 CCA Update & Weapons

In an attempt to bring greater player interest to the CCA, we're implementing two new flags to the CCA!

Elite Units, will not be greater in rank to normal units, in the field of socio-stability, that is. In combat, they're to be treated as tacticians, should a Senior unit or Rank Leader not be available to provide tactics for units to follow. In their combat oriented role, they'll be afforded better weapons than most, a MP7 modified with a compensator and sight, and a super-shorty 590, to aid in breaching.

Senior Units, will be greater in rank then both Elite Units and standard units, as they'll take up the command role should a Rank Leader not be present to lead. While they don't have as good weapons as Elite Units, they do have greater command responsibility, and more overall power. Think an OfC, or Adjutant. They're afforded MP7's and Mossberg 590's.

Factory Guide
In order to recycle trash you need two of each type. Example, 2 breen cans to 1 processed trash.

It only takes 1 empty ration, 1 empty cp ration, or 1 cardboard to make processed trash.

You can turn scrap metal into reclaimed metal by stacking 3 scrap metal on the factory machine, which will make a single reclaimed metal. 2 Reclaimed metal is a single Refined metal

General Changelog 

- COTA Flags added, "Forest Camo", "Specops", "Shotgunner". You can find their flag letter in the F1 menu.

- Credit Vouchers added, tiers 1-4. Can be acquired by bringing processed materials to the recycling machine. 

- 'Factory' Machine added, it can break down certain items and allows for certain materials to be upgraded. (3 Scrap Metal to 1 Reclaimed Metal, 2 Reclaimed Metal = 1 Refined Metal

- Various different trash items added

- Scavenging loot tables have been adjusted and updated

- Missing icons for items fixed

- Single item support for the business menu for some items

- Tampered Ration added, combine a regular ration with a Spray Can on a workbench to create it. 

- Clothing Ration added, can be crafted by combining an Empty Ration Packet, Winter Gloves, Winter Coat, and a Beanie. 

- Binoculars added, they are craftable but the recipe won't be revealed. Try to figure out the recipe ingame. 

- Weapon repair manuals for all broken weapons

- Crossbow crafting manual added as an ingame item.

- Recipes have been updated for the workbench, crowbar now craftable

- Wooden board and refined wood added 

- New melee weapons added, the baseball bat (craftable), a hammer, and broken bottle.

- Suitcase re-added

-  Backpack storage increased by 5 due to popular demand.

-  Overwatch radio frequencies are now hardcoded. 

- Scanner speed has been adjusted.

-  Development on "The Industrial Update" has begun, factory-esque entities will be added in the near future. Leave feedback below on how you think they should function. Currently what we're thinking of doing is having a primary "Factory" entity that will be used by CWU and potentially citizens if they find their way into the warehouse where it will be placed. It'll be used for a multitude of things, and be used in work cycles. Aside from that, a Recycling "factory" type entity that can be used to make credits by recycling refined materials from the primary factory.

(Don't ask me why I started on 0.05 lol)
